El Rompido. What to do. Hiking

Three separate walking routes leave from the Casa del Gato signposted for each direction, and all meet again at what’s known as the Campo Común de Abajo, the lower common or public grounds.

The first of these heads for the beach, in the central zone of El Rompido.

The second leads to the residential and tourism development at Nuevo Portil, leading to the naval base of the same name, and which is the site of a small marina from which small craft ply back and forth to the nearby Flecha de El Rompido and its wild beaches.

The third and last leads to the recreational are of Malpica, where there is a water park.
