EL ROMPIDO. What to do. MUSEums

There are no museums in El Rompido itself. Nevertheless, in the provincial capital Huelva there are a number of very interesting museums that deserve a visit during any time spent in the city, given the proximity of the two places.

The main museums we would highlight are:

Museo Provincial de Huelva

Museo de la Villa (Almonte)
Address Monday-Friday 9.30am-2pm &. Saturday 10am-1pm &. Children under 14, groups of 15 or more, and pensioners, reduced admission.
Museo Minero y Ferroviario de Minas de Riotinto (Rio Tinto mine and rail museum)
Address Carretera N-435 (Minas de Riotinto)
16 May to 15 October, Mon-Sun, 10am-3pm; 16 October to 15 May, Mon-Fri, 10am-3pm, weekends/festivals 10am-6pm.

Parque Botánico José Celestino Mutis (Rábida- Palos de la Frontera)
Address Open Tues-Sun, closed Mon. Visits of one hour. Groups of over 20 must call in advance.
